The Sunday Recital Series is free and open to the public. Usually starting at approximately 5:15pm, it follows the 4pm service on most Sundays during the academic term. The use of cameras and recording devices is strictly prohibited during the performance.

Today we welcome organist Nicole Keller of Ann Arbor, MI.

About the Artist

Nicole Keller is in demand as a concert artist, adjudicator, and clinician. She champions programs that mix classic repertoire with unfamiliar works, showcasing the unique tapestries of color and texture possible on the pipe organ. She has concertized in the States and abroad in venues such as St. Patrick Cathedral in New York, Cathédrale Notre-Dame in Paris, Dom St. Stephan in Passau, St. Patrick Cathedral in Armagh, and The Kazakh National University for the Arts in Astana, Kazakhstan. Her experience as a chamber musician and continuo player includes many performances of large choral works, cantatas, and baroque chamber music. Performances with orchestras include concertos, works for chamber orchestra, and large works involving organ, harpsichord, and piano. She was recently appointed to the organ faculty of the School of Music, Theatre & Dance at the University of Michigan.

Ms. Keller's work as a church musician includes work in with volunteer and professional choirs and instrumental ensembles devoted to the highest level of music for worship. She has created organ and choral scholar programs, successful children's choirs, and has led choirs on tour including choral residencies in the U.K. and Ireland.

Ms. Keller studied organ with David Higgs, continuo with Arthur Haas, and improvisation with Gerre Hancock at the Eastman School of Music. She received the Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music where she studied piano with George Cherry and Jean Stell and organ with Margaret Scharf.
