The Fifth Sunday In Lent

The Fifth Sunday In Lent

O Almighty God, who alone canst order the unruly wills and affections of sinful men: Grant unto thy people that they may love the thing which thou commandest, and desire that which thou dost promise; that so, among the sundry and manifold changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The Sunday adult class in the season of Lent will look at the great liturgies of Holy Week, as we celebrate them here at Saint Thomas, with attention to their history and their meaning.

The schedule is:
February 21: The office of Tenebrae (which we have on Holy Wednesday)
February 28: Maundy Thursday
March 7: Good Friday
March 14 and 21: The Great Vigil of Easter
March 28: Palm Sunday (a short, 30-minute class)
