Thomas Bray
O God of compassion, who didst open the heart of thy servant Thomas Bray to answer the needs of the church in the New World: Make thy church diligent at all times to propagate the Gospel and to promote the spread of Christian knowledge; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

This evening’s topic
Church Organization & Ministry
The Rector’s Christian Doctrine Class is a 14-session comprehensive overview of Christian teaching about God, sin, salvation, church history, sacraments and more. January 11 is the first session. The class meets on these additional Tuesday evenings: Jan 18, Jan 25, Feb 1, Feb 8, Feb 15, Feb 22, Mar 1, Mar 15, Mar 22, Mar 29, Apr 5, Apr 12, and May 3.
This class is particularly for persons who are new to the church. It will give you a good sense of what Christians believe and a grasp of fundamental Christian practices (such as prayer and the sacraments). It is also an opportunity to get to know our Rector, Father Mead. Persons who wish to join Saint Thomas Church, and persons who wish to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, are particularly encouraged to attend. We also welcome drop-ins who happen to be interested in the topic of the day.
