The Second Sunday of Christmas

The Second Sunday of Christmas

O God, who didst wonderfully create, and yet more wonderfully restore, the dignity of human nature: Grant that we may share the divine life of him who humbled himself to share our humanity, thy Son Jesus Christ; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

On this First Sunday after the Epiphany, we celebrate the Baptism of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Epiphany Procession, which celebrates three principal epiphanies of the season (the visit of the magi, the baptism of Our Lord, and Christ’s first miracle at the wedding at Cana) is on Sunday, December 15.

‚ñ∫Consider reading the Christmas and Epiphany Brochure for more information about the Epiphany season.

►At Coffee Hour following the 11am Eucharist today there is a presentation of the “St.Thomas visits St.Thomas” tour in Andrew Hall. This tour offers the opportunity for friends and family of the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys to accompany the choir tour to Germany and Denmark June 11-21, 2012.

‚ñ∫Sunday 8am and 9am services resumed this morning, after a break for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Sunday 4pm services resume next Sunday, along with organ recitals at 5:15pm.
