Cyril & Methodius
Almighty and everlasting God, who by the power of the Holy Spirit moved your servants Cyril and Methodius to bring the light of the Gospel to a hostile and divided people: Overcome all bitterness and strife among us by the love of Christ, and make us one united family under the banner of the Prince of Peace; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

This evening’s topic
Church Organization and Ministry
The Rector’s Christian Doctrine Class is a 14-session comprehensive overview of Christian teaching about God, sin, salvation, church history, sacraments and more. January 10 is the first session. The class meets on these additional Tuesday evenings: Jan 17, Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 28, Mar 6, Mar 13, Mar 20, Mar 27, Apr 17, Apr 24, and May 1.
This class is particularly for persons who are new to the church. It will give you a good sense of what Christians believe and a grasp of fundamental Christian practices (such as prayer and the sacraments). It is also an opportunity to get to know our Rector, Father Mead. Persons who wish to join Saint Thomas Church, and persons who wish to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, are particularly encouraged to attend. We also welcome anyone who happens to be interested in the topic of the day.
Confirmation Sunday is May 6. A photo from last year’s Confirmation is above.
See the complete list of class sessions.
