The Twenty-Fifth Sunday After Pentecost
Almighty and everlasting God, whose will it is to restore all things in thy well-beloved Son, the King of kings and Lord of lords: Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. (Proper 29)

About Choral Evensong: Based on the services held daily in the medieval Church, Choral Evensong as arranged in the Book of Common Prayer of the Anglican Church has been sung regularly since the Sixteenth Century. Many people who are new to worship at Saint Thomas prefer to come to Choral Evensong because it is relatively contemplative. The service includes readings (just as would occur at Evening Prayer) and prayers led by a priest. An anthem as well as a setting of the Magnificat and the Nunc dimittis are sung by the choir. Read more about Choral Evensong here, or view the Choral Evensong Service Card posted to the bottom of this page a few days prior to the service, where links to the webcast will be posted during and after the service.
‚ñ∫There is no Mass following Choral Evensong on Sundays. If you would like to make your Holy Communion for the week, consider attending one of the morning Eucharists, or else at any of the other twelve masses at Saint Thomas later this week.
‚ñ∫The Rector speaks about Thanksgiving in his weekly audio message. Please join us for a Festal Eucharist on November 22 at 11am.
‚ñ∫Are you one of the many hundreds from around the world who enjoy Choral Evensong via the Saint Thomas webcasts? Choral Evensong is freely available, but at significant cost. Please help us continue the tradition of Choral Evensong for all who walk through our doors or listen in on the webcasts. We ask you to consider making yourself known to us via the 2013 Every Member Canvass at whatever level you are able.
