The Fourth Sunday After The Epiphany
Almighty and everlasting God, who dost govern all things in heaven and earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of thy people, and in our time grant us thy peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Above: Moses in the Meekness Window of Saint Thomas Church. With a single finger, Moses reminds us that there is but one God, which is the topic of this evening’s sermon, the second sermon in the Commandments as Good News series.
About Choral Evensong: Based on the services held daily in the medieval Church, Choral Evensong as arranged in the Book of Common Prayer of the Anglican Church has been sung regularly since the Sixteenth Century. Many people who are new to worship at Saint Thomas prefer to come to Choral Evensong because it is relatively contemplative. The service includes readings (just as would occur at Evening Prayer) and prayers led by a priest. An anthem as well as a setting of the Magnificat and the Nunc dimittis are sung by the choir. Read more about Choral Evensong here, or view the Choral Evensong Service Card posted to the bottom of this page, where links to the webcast are posted during and after the service.
‚ñ∫There is no Mass following Choral Evensong on Sundays. If you would like to make your Holy Communion for the week, consider attending one of the morning Eucharists, or else at any of the other fifteen masses at Saint Thomas later this week.
‚ñ∫The Rector speaks about the apostolic succession, specifically with regard to the installation of Bishop Dietsche, in his weekly audio message.
‚ñ∫Today marks the beginning of the Candlemas Campaign of the 2013 Every Member Canvass. For those who have not yet pledged to the 2013 EMC and would like to be recognized as active supporters of Saint Thomas Church and Choir School, the Candlemas Campaign offers a chance to do just that. Feel free to email Ann Hall Kaplan if you have any questions. Thank you to everyone who has already pledged, and thank you for considering making one if you haven’t yet. You may pledge online here.
