Agnes Tsao Kou Ying, Agatha Lin Zhao and Lucy Yi Zhenmei

Lord Jesus Christ, who willingly walked the way of the cross: Strengthen thy church through the witness of thy servants Agnes Tsao Kou Ying, Agatha Lin Zhao, and Lucy Yi Zhenmei to hold fast to the path of discipleship even unto death; for with the Father and Holy Ghost thou livest and reignest, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

About Evensong: Based on the services held daily in the medieval Church, Choral Evensong as arranged in the Book of Common Prayer of the Anglican Church has been sung regularly since the Sixteenth Century. Many people who are new to worship at Saint Thomas prefer to come to Choral Evensong because it is relatively contemplative. The service includes readings (just as would occur at Evening Prayer) and prayers led by a priest. An anthem as well as a setting of the Magnificat and the Nunc dimittis are sung by the choir. Read more about Choral Evensong here, or view the Choral Evensong Service Card posted to the bottom of this page, where links to the webcast can be found during and after the service.

‚ñ∫There is a brief Mass following Choral Evensong. All baptized Christians are welcome to stay on to make their Holy Communion.

Lenten practices: In his Ash Wednesday sermon, Fr Mead spoke about the three traditional lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Consider worshiping with us on weekdays in Lent, or making your confession (which the Rector speaks about his weekly audio message), or meditating each day on the word of God and reflections on the word of God.

‚ñ∫Thank you to everyone who has pledged for the 2013 Every Member Canvass. If you haven’t yet, we ask you to consider doing so. We know that many of those who enjoy weekday Choral Evensong at Saint Thomas are members of other parishes, where they attend on Sundays. Nevertheless, if you regularly enjoy Evensong at Saint Thomas, we ask that you help to support this mission at any level you can afford, and to make yourself known to us. Thank you.
