Thomas Aquinas

Thomas Aquinas

Almighty God, who has enriched your church with the singular learning and holiness of your servant Thomas Aquinas: Enlighten us more and more, we pray, by the disciplined thinking and teaching of Christian scholars, and deepen our devotion by the example of saintly lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Above: Saint Thomas Aquinas appears all over the place in the decorative art of Saint Thomas Church (named for the the Apostle, not for Aquinas) but perhaps no more appropriately than in the Holy Communion Window of Saint Thomas Church. Aquinas permeates our understanding of the Body of Christ as the real presence, as you can perceive if you attend a Maundy Thursday service at Saint Thomas Church.
