In October, we had a very well-attended evening on theology and rock music, at which Fr Austin had a public conversation with two new (and young) members of Saint Thomas who make their livelihood as rock musicians. Then came Sandy, causing the cancellation of a second gathering. We now have a date for a second public conversation with some contemporary visitual artists who are new to Saint Thomas.
Why have they been drawn to our parish, which is so traditional while their work is anything but? How do they see their Christian faith informing their work? We’ll have a bit of wine, Fr Austin’s “public conversation” with them, and time for questions and informal talk.
